Add the bot and connect your server

Invite the bot, then connect your game server with a Warcon API key.

With Warcon (recommended)

  1. 1Invite the bot: wardogsbot.com/invite. Pick your Discord.
  2. 2In Warcon, open your organisation and create an API key. Tick View, plus the actions you want the bot to use (kick, ban, chat, match control…).
  3. 3In your Discord run /setup and paste the key. Or open wardogsbot.com/dashboard → your Discord → Settings → Connection (ST-00).
  4. 4Done: the bot finds your servers. Open Dashboard → Overview and follow the setup guide.

Without Warcon

In the setup pick “Directly with RCON” to connect with the RCON address and password of your server. If you cannot open a port, use the WarDogs agent instead (see “Connecting without Warcon”).

No RCON at all?

You can still add a server for its status only. See “Status only (no RCON)”.

Tip: Treat your API key and RCON password like a password. Only paste them into the dashboard or /setup, never into a public channel. If one was ever shared, create a new one.
